Official Rules
THIS CONTEST IS INTENDED FOR PARTICIPATION IN CANADA ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW. DO NOT ENTER UNLESS YOU ARE ELIGIBLE AND RESIDE IN CANADA AT THE TIME OF PARTICIPATION.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. INTERNET ACCESS REQUIRED.
BY ENTERING, ENTRANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE SPONSOR, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL RESPECTS.
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Lay’s® Fan of the Match Contest (the “Contest”) is only open to residents of Canada, who are age of majority or older in their province / territory of residence at the time of entry. The following persons are not eligible to enter or win a prize: employees, officers and directors of Frito Lay Canada (“Sponsor”), Fédération Internationale de Football Association (“FIFA”), Davies Meyer GmbH (the “Administrator”), Genesco Sports Enterprises, Inc., Treetop Marketing & Promotion Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and if applicable, their advertising or promotion agencies, program prize suppliers, any other companies engaged in the development, production, or distribution of materials for the Contest (collectively, the “Contest Parties”), and members of their immediate families (spouse, partner, parents, legal guardians, in-laws, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren and their respective spouses and/or “step” of each) and those living in the same household as such individuals (whether legally related or not who live in the same residence for at least three [3] months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Contest). By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator, which are final and binding in all respects. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. By participating in the Contest, you unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by these “Official Rules” and the decisions of Sponsor, including the interpretation of these Official Rules, administration of the Contest, selection of the winners, and Sponsor’s exercise of discretion, which will be final, non-appealable, and binding in all respects.
2. CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest begins at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on February 23, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31, 2026 (the “Contest Period”). The designated computer clock of the Administrator is the official time-keeping device in the Contest.
3. HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, purchase two (2) participating LAY’S® products (the “Participating Products”; full list provided at the end of these Official Rules). Visit the Contest website www.NoLaysNoGame.ca (the “Contest Website”) and follow the instructions to obtain access to the entry form. Once you have access, follow the instructions to upload your receipt (must be JPG / JPEG/ PNG / images only, maximum size 4 MB). Once your receipt has been uploaded, complete the entry form by providing your first name, last name, email address, city, province/territory, postal code, telephone number and select the prize pool you are entering (see Rule 5 for prize pool details). Upon completion of the entry form, confirm that you are eligible and agree to participate in the Contest according to these Official Rules before clicking “submit”. You will automatically receive one (1) entry (“Entry”) into the Contest in the prize pool you have selected (see Rule 5 for prize pool details). Limit one (1) entry per person per day in each prize pool. Save On Foods and Loblaws receipts can only be entered into their respective pools.
A “day” is defined as a calendar day based on Eastern Time. Attempts made by the same individual to earn more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple or false contact information, accounts or otherwise, in the opinion of Sponsor or Administrator, may result in disqualification of all related entries in the Contest and the individual will no longer be eligible to win a prize. Entries generated by script, Artificial Intelligence, computer programs, macro, programmed, robotic or other automated means are void and may be disqualified. Entries that are in excess of the stated limit(s), incomplete, illegible, corrupted, damaged, destroyed, forged, false, lost, late or misdirected, deceptive or otherwise not in compliance with the Official Rules may be disqualified from the Contest at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Those who do not follow all instructions, provide the required information in their entry form, or abide by these Official Rules or other instructions of Sponsor, in the opinion of Sponsor or Administrator, may be disqualified. Entries submitted by those who do not meet the eligibility requirements (including all requirements with respect to age and residence) are void.
Entrants may not share an email address. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the registered account holder of the email address associated with the Entry for the domain associated with the submitted address, provided that person is eligible. Any potential winner may be required to show proof of being the registered account holder. Registered account holder is defined as the person assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses. In the event that a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who submitted an Entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected Entry will be deemed ineligible.
NOTE: You may access the Contest Website by using a web-enabled mobile device and scanning the code printed on marketing materials. You are not required to scan a code to participate and may go directly to the Contest Website to enter. Message and data rates may apply. Consult your wireless providers’ pricing plans. Not all mobile telephone providers carry the service necessary to participate in this Contest and/or obtain a Website link.
The Contest Parties are not responsible for technical difficulties of any kind, or for false, incorrect, changed, incomplete or illegible contact information.
4. NO PURCHASE ENTRY: Purchase is not required and does not enhance a person’s chance of winning. To obtain a no purchase entry, send an email to contest@nolaysnogame.ca with a subject line that corresponds to the pool in which you are requesting an entry. The subject line should read “National”, “Save On Foods”, or “Loblaws” (depending on which prize pool you wish to enter – see Rule 5 for more information about the prize pools), and your email should contain the following: (i) an original submission of no more than 50 words showing why you are the biggest FIFA World Cup™ fan; (ii) your full name; (iii) your email address; (iv) your city, province/territory, and postal code; (v) your telephone number; and (vi) your age (collectively, the “No Purchase Entry”). Your No Purchase Entry must be received by March 31, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET. Limit one (1) No Purchase Entry per person per day in each prize pool. Your submission must include all of the information listed above to be a valid No Purchase Entry. Your submission must be original in concept and execution and created by entrant. No Purchase Entries that are mechanically reproduced or made in any fashion other than as specified herein are void. If no prize pool is provided in the subject line of your No Purchase Entry, the No Purchase Entry will be added to the National Pool by default.
5. PRIZE POOLS: There are three (3) types of Ultimate Fan Experience prize packages available to be won through the following prize pools.
(i) five (5) prize packages in the National Pool (open residents of Canada) (the “National Pool”)
(ii) one (1) prize package via the Save On Foods Pool (open to residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Yukon Territories) (the “Save On Foods Pool”)
• Receipts from Save On Foods stores can only be entered into this prize pool.
(iii) one (1) prize package via the Loblaws Pool (open to residents of Canada) (the “Loblaws Pool”)
• Receipts from Loblaws stores, including Real Canadian Superstore, Real Atlantic Superstore, Dominion, Zehrs, Loblaw, Your Independent Grocer (YIG), Valu-mart, Provigo, Fortinos, No Frills and Maxi stores can only be entered into this prize pool.
6. PRIZES: Each Lay’s® Ultimate Fan Experience prize consists of a trip for two (2) people (Contest winner and one (1) guest) to attend a FIFA World Cup 26™ Tournament Match played within Canada. Prize includes round-trip economy air transportation from a major commercial airport near winner’s residence (as determined by Sponsor) to an airport near the location of the match (selected by Sponsor) for the winner and one (1) guest (airport, carrier and airline ticket class selected by Sponsor; winner and guest must depart from the same airport), two (2) nights hotel standard accommodation (single room, double occupancy), $100 gift bag (one for each winner and guest), a $500 ride share gift card, a $400 prepaid card which may be used for meals, all applicable match tickets and passes, access to the pitch prior to the Match, being featured on the Jumbotron at Half-Time, and a Lay’s® Fan of the Match trophy (the “Lay’s Fan of the Match Prize”). Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Lay’s Fan of the Match Prize is $6,625 CAD.
The actual value of the Lay’s Fan of the Match Prize may vary depending on point of departure, variation in value of match tickets, and fluctuations in the cost of air transportation. Any difference between the estimated ARV and the actual value of the Lay’s Fan of the Match Prize will not be awarded.

Additional prize conditions: Travel must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary. If a winner resides within a 200 km radius of the destination city, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, ground transportation may be provided in lieu of air transportation, and no compensation will be provided for any difference in prize value. Each winner and guest are required to have proper documentation and valid government-issued photo identification for air travel within Canada (if applicable), including any documentation related to travelling with minors. The Sponsor is not liable if travel is impeded or refused by reason of decisions of any governmental authorities, or other airline or airport authorities. All airline tickets are subject to flight variation, work stoppages, and schedule or route changes. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel routes, select hotels, and all other aspects of the prize in their sole and absolute discretion. Each winner is responsible for all travel expenses not included herein, including airline baggage fees, gratuities, meals, and any other incidental costs or expenses related to participation in the prize.
Once a guest is selected, he/she may not be substituted, except in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Both winner and guest (or guest’s parent/legal guardian) must sign and return the Release (as defined below) before travel will be booked. Each winner and guest hereby acknowledge that Sponsor has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance for any part of a prize. No changes will be made to travel details once any element of the travel arrangements have been booked, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Each winner will be required to provide a major credit card upon hotel check-in, and all in-room charges will be charged to the credit card. Any damage to the room will be the responsibility of the winner. Sponsor bears no responsibility if any event, element, or detail of the prize is canceled, postponed, or becomes unavailable for any reason whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels, venue operators, transportation companies, prize providers or any other persons providing any prize-related services or accommodations. Sponsor is not liable for any missed prize events, or expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation/delay or ground transportation delay. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any transportation or other prize element except at the sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor. Should any event, element, or detail of the prize become unavailable, the Sponsor shall have no obligation to a winner aside from providing the remaining portion of the prize, minus any unavailable event, element, or detail. Sponsor is not responsible if any event is delayed, postponed, or canceled for any reason.
Winners and guests irrevocably waive all claims against the Contest Parties, and agree that they will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this Contest, the prize awarded, personal injury, or wrongful death, a potentially heightened risk of exposure to communicable diseases, viruses, bacteria or illnesses (including, without limitation, COVID-19) and the causes thereof, and sickness arising as a result of entrant’s participating in the Contest and related activities (e.g., travel), wherever, whenever or however the same may occur. Winner and guest must abide by all applicable federal, provincial, local and venue COVID-19 guidelines while traveling and in attendance at the prize event. Winner and guest fully understand that (a) the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and any resulting disease (together with any mutation, adaptation or variation thereof, “COVID-19”) is extremely contagious and there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any place where people are or have been present; (b) no precautions, including any protocols that will be implemented from time to time by the Contest Parties (collectively, the “Protocols”), can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19; (c) while people of all ages and health conditions have been adversely affected by COVID-19, certain people have been identified by public health authorities as having greater risk based on age and/or underlying medical conditions; and (d) exposure to COVID-19 can result in being subject to quarantine requirements, illness, disability, other short-term and long-term health effects, and/or death, regardless of age or health condition. Winner and guest will accept the prize and travel at their own risk.
If Sponsor so elects in its sole discretion, potential winner and their guest may be required to submit to a confidential background check to ensure that (a) they will not bring the Sponsor into public disrepute, contempt, scandal, or ridicule or reflect unfavorably on the Sponsor, and (b) they will adhere to any and all Protocols. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any potential Contest Winner based on the results of the background check. If requested, potential winner must sign waiver forms authorizing the release of personal and background information or prize may be forfeited.
Guest must be a legal resident of Canada. If a guest is a minor, then the minor must travel with, and be accompanied at all times by, an adult who is either (i) the minor’s parent or legal guardian, or (ii) an individual authorized by all parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of the minor. Tickets awarded are for use by winner and one (1) guest only. All seat locations are determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Tickets are subject to all ticket terms and conditions, as well as all venue and FIFA procedures, policies, protocols and mitigation measures, including, without limitation, security and guest conduct, health and safety, and applicable bag policies, and ticket holders must comply and abide by all such terms, conditions, procedures, policies, protocols and mitigation measures. Sponsor is not responsible if any match is delayed, postponed, or canceled for any reason. Winner will not receive compensation from Sponsor for tickets that the winner is unable to use due to cancellation of a match, but tickets may be subject to standard rain-check policies and procedures set by the issuer. Each winner agrees that match admission is awarded pursuant to a revocable, nontransferable license that is personal to that applicable winner, and may not be sold, resold, auctioned, bartered, assigned, exchanged, placed in commerce, transferred, given away, donated or otherwise conveyed. Sponsor reserves the right to remove or to deny entry to any winner and/or guest if either winner or guest violates the previous restrictions or engages in a disruptive manner, or with intent to abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the match. Each winner and guest must attend the match on the dates specified by the Sponsor.
Prizes are non-transferable, with no cash redemptions, equivalents, or substitutions except at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. All prize details not specified in these Official Rules will be determined in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Prize details and availability are subject to change and are subject applicable rules and restrictions. Prizes are awarded “AS IS” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). The ARV of the prizes is based on available information provided to Sponsor as of the time these Official Rules are printed and may fluctuate. Any unclaimed prize will be forfeited. Prizes, if legitimately claimed, will be awarded. The Contest Parties are not responsible for and will not replace any lost, mutilated or stolen prizes or any prize that is undeliverable or does not reach the winner because of an incorrect or changed address. If a winner does not accept or use the entire prize, the unaccepted or unused part of the prize will be forfeited, and the Contest Parties will have no further obligation with respect to that prize or portion of the prize. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. The Contest Parties are not responsible for, and winner will not receive the difference, if any, between the actual value of the prize(s) at the time of award and the stated ARV in these Official Rules or in any Contest related correspondence or material. Limit of one (1) Prize per person for the entire Contest. All physical prizes will be shipped within 6-8 weeks of winner verification. Any ticket prizes will be emailed prior to the game date. Sponsor’s designated agent will transfer all applicable tickets to the verified winners via email. Winners are solely responsible for checking their email, spam/junk folders, etc. for the email containing the tickets and abiding by the ticket platform’s terms and conditions. Sponsor is not responsible for lost/undeliverable tickets or tickets that do not reach the winner due to insufficient space in the winner’s email or any active or passive filtering.
7. PRIZE DRAWING AND ODDS: On April 6, 2026 at approximately 9:00 a.m. ET, the Administrator will conduct a random drawing to select five (5) entries from the National Pool; one (1) entry from the Save On Foods Pool, and one (1) entry from the Loblaws Pool from among all eligible Entries received in each prize pool in accordance with these Official Rules. The order of the draws for each respective pool and the selected matches is as provided in Rule 6. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received in each prize pool during the Contest Period.
8. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE CLAIM: The potential Contest winners will be notified via telephone or email using the information provided on the entry form within three (3) business days after the prize draw is completed, or as soon as reasonably possible thereafter (the “Notification”). It is the entrant’s responsibility to provide a valid telephone number and email address to ensure prompt receipt of any Notification. WITHIN THREE (3) BUSINESS DAYS FROM THE DATE OF NOTIFICATION AT THE TELEPHONE NUMBER (I.E., VIA TELEPHONE CONVERSATION OR BY LEAVING A VOICEMAIL) OR EMAIL PROVIDED, REGARDLESS OF WHEN IT IS RECEIVED:
• the potential winner must claim the Prize as instructed in the Notification; and
• the potential winner will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, to be administered at a time to be mutually agreed upon;
• the potential winner’s receipt(s) (where applicable) will be verified by Sponsor or Administrator;
• the potential winner must accept the terms of a Declaration of Compliance and Release, which confirms compliance with these Official Rules and releases the Contest Parties from all liability with respect to the entrant’s participation in this Contest and the awarding, use and misuse of the Lay’s Fan of the Match Prize; and
• the potential winner may be required to furnish proof of identification that may include a driver’s license or other form of government-issued picture identification as part of the verification process.
The Contest Parties are not responsible for and shall not be liable for incorrect, changed, or illegible contact information or for electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering, or insufficient space in entrant’s email or other account to receive messages. The Contest Parties are not responsible for late, lost, intercepted, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential winner. Notification is deemed to have occurred immediately upon the sending of an email. If any potential winner cannot be located, if an potential winner does not respond and comply with the above requirements within three (3) business days of Notification, or fails or refuses to sign and return the Declaration within the required time period, if any potential winner is ineligible, if any notification is returned as rejected, faulty, unclaimed or returned as undeliverable to such potential winner, and/or if any potential winner fails to fully comply with these Official Rules or is otherwise noncompliant, such potential winner will be disqualified. The Sponsor may then, at its sole and absolute discretion, select by random draw another eligible entrant from the applicable prize pool who will be contacted and subject to disqualification in the same manner. A potential winner becomes a “winner” only after verification of eligibility by Sponsor.
No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. If, for any reason, including but not limited to an administrative, printing, production, computer or other error or due to technical difficulties or incorrect announcements of any kind, more winning messages are distributed, or more prizes are claimed than are intended to be awarded for any prize according to these Official Rules, the intended prizes will be awarded in a random drawing from among all verified prize claims. Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances.
9. GENERAL: Subject to applicable law, each winner hereby expressly grants to the Parties and their respective successors, assigns, sublicensees and designees, the irrevocable right to use and publish his/her name, social handles, likeness (photographic or simulated), voice, biography and place of residence for all purposes, including, without limitation, advertising, marketing, promotional and publicity purposes in connection with this Contest (“Advertising”), in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity, without any form of notice, permission or any amount or kind of compensation, except for the awarding of the prizes to the winners. All copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights in such Advertising shall be owned by Sponsor and/or its licensors, and each winner hereby disclaims and waives any claim of right to such Advertising. Such Advertising shall be solely under the control of Sponsor and/or its licensors, and each winner hereby waives any claim of control over the Advertising content as well as any possible claims of misuse of winner’s name, likeness or voice under contract, tort or any other theory of law. The Contest Parties do not assume any responsibility for any disruption in the Contest, including, but not limited to, the failure or interruption of any social media platform or any internet service provider. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures and other statements contained in any Contest materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control. In the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Contest by any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to, fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, communications or equipment failure, utility or service interruptions, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared), interference with the Contest by any party, or any federal, provincial, or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each, a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest or prize. Sponsor additionally reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest should causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt or interfere with the administration, integrity, operation, security or proper play of the Contest.
10. FWC26 TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Winners and their guest (“Attendees”) agree to comply with the FIFA Ticket Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”) applicable to their Prize ticket(s) for the FIFA World Cup 26™. The Terms of Use, along with any other ticket terms and conditions, are available (or will be made available) on FIFA.com/tickets. Tickets are intended solely for use by the Attendees and may not be provided to any other person, including through resale, exchange, or barter. Any such resale, exchange, barter, or other commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification, prize forfeiture, and invalidation of the license granted for the tickets.
All FIFA World Cup 26™ venue restrictions and rules governing stadium safety, security and conduct also apply, including those set out in the FIFA World Cup 26™ Stadium Code of Conduct (“Stadium Code of Conduct”), available on FIFA.com/tickets. Attendees are expected to respect other guests and event staff and must refrain from using foul or offensive language, obscene gestures, or engaging in unruly, disruptive, threatening or violent behavior.
The Stadium Code of Conduct, the Terms of Use and all other applicable terms and conditions available on FIFA.com/tickets are deemed to be incorporated into these Terms and Conditions. FIFA and/or its affiliates reserve the right to cancel any ticket(s) if FIFA determines an Attendee has failed to comply with the Terms of Use, the Stadium Code of Conduct, or any other applicable terms and conditions.
11. CONDUCT: The Contest Parties are not responsible for the actions of entrants in connection with the Contest, including entrants’ attempts to circumvent the Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. The Contest Parties reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify (or terminate the prize of) any individual who is found to be, or suspected of, acting in any manner deemed by the Contest Parties to be in violation of the Official Rules, or to be unsportsmanlike or disruptive, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, or to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, and void all associated Contest Entries. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A USER, YOU OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CONTEST PARTIES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING LEGAL FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
12. WAIVERS AND DISCLAIMERS: The Contest Parties assume no responsibility or liability for: (a) lost, late, stolen, undelivered, inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misdirected, damaged or garbled registrations, Contest Entries, URLs, or emails; (b) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (c) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of Contest entries, at any point in the operation of this Contest; (d) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, cable, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Contest; (e) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet or the Contest Website or any combination thereof or for computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of Contest entries, the announcement of the prizes, or in any other Contest-related materials; or (f) any injury or damage to entrants or to any other person's computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest (or any part thereof) is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include, without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, then the Contest Parties reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part. If terminated, the Contest Parties will award the prizes in a random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible Contest entries received for the Contest up to the time of such action.
13. RELEASES: All entrants, as a condition of participation in this Contest, (a) release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Contest Parties and FIFA and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability, claims, costs (including legal fees), losses, damages, fines, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, death, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, in connection with: (i) participation in any aspect of the Contest (including travel to/from any Contest activity), (ii) the receipt, ownership, use or misuse of the prize awarded, including any travel associated with any prize, (iii) the Released Parties’ violation of rights of publicity or privacy, claims of defamation or portrayal in a false light or based on any claim of infringement of intellectual property; (iv) entrant’s registration material on any related website, or (v) any typographical, human or other error in the printing, offering, selection, operation or announcement of any Contest activity and/or prize; (b) under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest , or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: This Contest is subject to all federal, provincial and local laws. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants, Sponsor or the Released Parties in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in effect in the province/territory in which the entrant resided at the time of entry.
15. ENTRY INFORMATION AND CONTEST COMMUNICATIONS: As a condition of participating in the Contest, each entrant gives consent for Sponsor to obtain and deliver his or her name, and other information to third parties for the purpose of administering this Contest and to comply with applicable laws, regulations and rules. Any information an entrant provides to Sponsor may be used to communicate with entrant in relation to this Contest. By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to all of the terms and conditions of the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which is available at www.nolaysnogame.ca/privacy-policy. In the event of any discrepancy between the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control and govern.
16. CONFLICTS/DISCREPANCIES: In the event of any discrepancies between the English language Official Rules and the non-English language Official Rules, the English Rules shall prevail. In the event of a conflict between any Contest details contained in these Official Rules and any Contest details contained in Contest advertising materials (including, but not limited to, online, point of sale, television, and print advertising, promotional packaging, and other promotion media), the details of the Contest as set forth in these English Official Rules shall prevail.
17. MISCELLANEOUS: The ARV of the prize is based on available information provided to Sponsor. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules or the Declaration will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision of the Official Rules or the Declaration is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions will remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. Entrants agree to waive any rights to claim ambiguity of these Official Rules. Headings are solely for convenience of reference and will not be deemed to affect in any manner the meaning or intent of the documents or any provision hereof.
18. FIFA: The FIFA World Cup 26™ logo is a trademark owned by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association and used under license. FIFA is not a sponsor or administrator of this promotion in any way. FIFA shall have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this promotion or any prize awarded.
